East Bengal FC recruitment team are certainly on a roll and their shopping spree ain’t ending soon it seems. After already confirming a handful of players previously, they have now confirmed the services of four new names: Bikash Jairu, Cavin Lobo, Sehnaj Singh and Mohammed Irshad, all on a two years contract.

We had previously reported all of them being linked with the Red and Gold brigade and finally the club has confirmed their signatures for the upcoming season, as the busy transfer market season continues for the East Bengal FC recruitment team.

Among the signings, Bikash Jairu has been the most regular in the Indian Super League for the last three seasons as he made 35 appearances for Jamshedpur FC. In the 2019/20 season however, he fell off the ranks and was even tried as a left-back but didn’t work out well. Jairu would be returning to the Red and Gold brigade after 3 seasons.

Defensive midfielder Sehnaj Singh too made 8 appearances for ISL 2019/20 Champions ATK FC with 4 starts to his name. The 27 year old from Punjab too has previously played a season for East Bengal FC in 2016/17.

Mohammed Irshad from Gokulam Kerala would perhaps be one of the best signings for the Red and Gold brigade. The club has reached a verbal agreement with the defender and his agent would sent in the copy of the signing soon. The 25 year old from Kerala, played regularly for Gokulam Kerala FC in the I-League as a left-centre-back, who could also play as a left-back and defensive midfielder.

The 32 year old Cavin Lobo would also be rejoining as we had previously reported. The Goanese had been free from his injury issues for the past few seasons and has made 15 appearances with 13 starts for Punjab FC in the 2019/20 I-League.

Lobo has been one of the best Indian midfielders for the Red and Gold brigade in the past decade. He played for 6 seasons from 2012 to 2018 before leaving for ATK FC.

The four signings would certainly enrich the Indian contingent for the Red and Gold brigade for the upcoming season. The team management had already announced the singings of Balwant Singh, Gurtej Singh, Lalramchullova, Rafique Ali Sardar, Wahengbam Angousana, Loken Meitei and Novin Gurung. They have also roped in forward Girik Khosla from Punjab FC as confirmed by the player’s father.
