Huge news incoming for all East Bengal fans as it has been rumoured about a possible signing of Indian origin Iranian winger Omid Singh for the upcoming season to East Bengal FC.

Omid Singh has been a regular for his club Naft Masjed Soleyman which plays in the Iran Pro League, the top division of Iranian football. The 27 year old can play in both the wings and is known for his speed and agility.

Omid Singh has been in the Indian news previously back in 2019 after he wanted to give up on his Iranian passport and play for the Indian national team. He even talked with Indian national team coach Igor Stimac and wanted to speed up the process if the coach was ready to take him.

The Indian origin winger would certainly be a high profile signing for the Red and Gold brigade if the agreement finally materialises. Coming from the land of another East Bengal legend Majid Bishkar, Omid too would certainly put high expectations for the millions of Red and Gold fans across the world.
