The Red and Gold team management are not sitting idle in the lockdown it seems as they have been busy to assemble the squad for the next season.

After being heavily linked with Novin Gurung and Sankar Roy, East Bengal FC are now in hunt to sign their former left winger Bikash Jairu from Jamshedpur FC. The Sikkimese winger played for the Red and Gold brigade for two seasons, back in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 season, where he impressed the fans with his daunting runs through the left flank and telling crosses.

Bikash Jairu made 9 appearances for the ISL side in 2019/20 season but failed to register a single goal or an assist. Jairu’s off-form made him fall out of the ranks in the initial matches of the season however he made a return in the second half of the season and played most of the games as his team finished 8th in the League table.

As per sources, East Bengal FC have made an offer to Bikash Jairu to bring him back next season but nothing has been finalized as of now.
