Transfer Rumours: East Bengal FC trying to rope in Punjab FC attacking midfielder!

East Bengal FC are certainly on a spree in the transfer market. The recruitment team has been roping in and getting linked with players everyday, even amidst this lockdown period. As per reports, the Red and Gold brigade has now put an offer to rope in Punjab FC attacking midfielder Girik Khosla for the upcoming season.
The Mumbai born Girik Khosla was a part of the Mumbai FC youth setup before moving to the state team of Chandigarh. It was there that he caught the eyes of Minerva Punjab FC, after guiding Chandigarh to qualify for the final stages of the Santosh Trophy. He was a part of Minerva’s historic Hero I-League 2017-18 winning squad, playing in 12 matches, scoring twice. In 2019/20 season, Khosla appeared in 7 matches scoring twice, one of them against East Bengal FC at the Kalyani Stadium.
Girik Khosla also has experience of playing in the ISL. He was roped in by North East United FC, howeverhe
made just two appearance for the Highlanders in the 2018/19 season before returning back to Punjab FC.
The East Bengal FC recruiters have put in an offer for the 25 year old and are hopeful to get the young attacking midfielder for the upcoming season.
