The Red and Gold recruitment team are certainly on a roll as they are being hyperactive in the transfer market. They have confirmed the services of Omid Singh, Balwant Singh, Gurtej Singh and Lalramchullova for the upcoming season. Now as per sources, the East Bengal FC management are likely to bring back former captain and current Bengaluru FC and national team starter Harmanjot Singh Khabra for the upcoming season.

Khabra has been a regular starter for the Bengaluru FC team with 19 appearances, all in the starting lineup in the 2019/20 season where they lost out in the ISL Semi Finals to eventual champions ATK.

The 32 year old also brings in loads of options to the team as he has played in the Right Back, Central Midfield and Right Midfield position for the Bengaluru FC team. He is a proper utility player to have in any team.

Harmanjot Singh Khabra has played for the Red and Gold brigade for 7 long years from 2009 to 2016, captaining the side in 2015/16 season. His iconic goal in the infamous 9/12/12 derby will be forever remembered by the East Bengal fans. If the deal finally goes through, the fans can once again see their favourite Khabra donning the Red and Gold kit for the upcoming season.
