Rumours: East Bengal FC re-linked with a move for Ishan Pandita!

The 22-year-old Indian forward Ishan Pandita who has been playing professional football in the Spanish Tercera Division is reported to be on the move way back to India. As per reports, there are possibly three suitors who wants to get the services of the talented young forward, including East Bengal FC.
Ishan Pandita was scouted at a young age by La Liga side CD Leganes and he flew to Spain to join their academy in 2017. The young forward played for the U19 team of Leganes before moving on to Spanish Tercera Division club Lorca FC. In the 2019/20 season Ishan has played 25 out of the 27 matches in the division, scoring 6 goals – the highest for his team.
Ishan’s father, who is also his manager, claimed Ishan had offers from Spanish Segunda Division teams however, Ishan wanted to continue his development under the coaching of Espanyol and Dwportivo La Coruna legend Walter Pandiani.
However, after the pandemic situation, Ishan is reported to be willing to return to India into the Indian Super League. He had earlier terminated his contract with Lorca FC and as reported there are three ISL teams who are fighting to get Ishan sign on the dotted lines for them – East Bengal FC, Bengaluru FC and ATK MB.
