Quess East Bengal FC will be playing their first ever I-League game at the TRC Turf Ground at Srinagar on Monday as they prepare take on Real Kashmir FC amidst harsh cold weather conditions and tight security.
The Red and Gold brigade have not lost in last 5 matches with 2 wins and 3 draws to their name. The team management will surely look forward to grab a win before the big derby next Sunday.
Costa Rican defender Johnny Acosta has joined in with the squad and will most likely to start on Monday as Mehtab Singh could not travel due to personal issues. Some good news for the fans as Edmund Lalrindika has finally recovered from his injury and travelled with the squad along with Didika Ralte who too have joined in.
Real Kashmir FC is known for their physical game and at their home they are a tough nut to crack. The Snow Leopards managed to take away a point from the Red and Gold brigade when they met in the very first game of the I-League campaign back in December. Coach David Robertson will certainly look to exploit the defensive woes of Quess East Bengal FC and take advantage of the home conditions.
Quess East Bengal FC coach Mario Rivera have had a tough start to his career with just 2 wins from 7 matches so far. He would certainly look to get back to winning ways. However, the lack of goals upfront and the ever so leaky defence both will keep the Spanish gaffer worried ahead of tomorrow’s game.
