It is official now, Quess East Bengal FC has announced the signing of Liberian striker Ansumana Kromah for the remainder of the I-League as a replacement of Spanish defender Borja Gomez Perez.
Ansumana Kromah was the top scorer of the 2019-20 Calcutta Football League with 14 goals as he helped Peerless SC win a record breaking Calcutta League title in September.
The Liberian striker had previously played for the Red and Gold brigade in 2017-18 season under Khalid Jamil and was instrumental as the team became runner’s up in the 2018 Super Cup.
It has been few days of turmoil for the Red and Gold fans with consecutive defeats and coach Alejandro Menendez stepping down from the position. The inclusion of Ansumana Kromah will be a breathe of fresh air for the East Bengal fans before the upcoming game against Chennai City FC away on 25th January, as the team will look to bounce back from the hat-trick of defeats!
