#Official: East Bengal FC named as the 11th team in the Indian Super League.

The wait is finally over for millions of Red and Gold fans all across the world as it is now officially declared that East Bengal FC will be featuring in the Indian Super League from the 2020/21 season as the 11th team from base location Kolkata.
East Bengal FC got their new investors in the form of Shree Cement, one of India’s top companies, earlier this month and they set forth the process of completing all the documentation to participate in the ISL from this very season.
FSDL too responded likewise and opened the bid process for East Bengal FC to enter the Indian Super League in a proper licensed way. Shree Cement formed a company “Shree Cement East Bengal Foundation” which has applied for the sporting license for East Bengal FC and picked up the bid papers on 8th September. They submitted all required documents within 14th September and hardcopies within 17th September, the set deadline. After completion and verification of all the processes, the FSDL has now officially announced the inclusion of East Bengal FC as the 11th team in the country’s premier competition – Indian Super League.
The fans who waited for more than 7 months in anticipation are finally jubilant and are now looking forward to seeing the team management recruit the coach and foreigners at par with the standards of Indian Super League. There are some top names linked with the club and announcements are expected soon.
The club has already signed a handful of players including the likes of Balwant Singh, CK Vineeth, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Gurtej Singh, Lalramchullova, Sehnaj Singh etc. who are set to be an integral part of the squad at East Bengal FC in the Indian Super League.
The transfer window is open till 20 October and the last date to register the team is 23 October. As per sources, the tentative start date for the 2020/21 Indian Super League season is set on 20-23 November.
