Quess East Bengal FC are all set to face second placed Churchill Brothers on Saturday at the Salt Lake Stadium in the return leg clash of the Hero I-League. Coach Mario Rivera looked all confident ahead on Friday with two consecutive wins on his back, as he look forward to continue the winning momentum against the Goan giants!

The Red and Gold brigade have jumped out of the relegation zone riding on two away victories and currently sit on the 4th spot with 18 points. New Spanish import Victor Perez Alonso was impressive on his first outing for the team as he came on in the second half against TRAU FC and changed the momentum of the match. The fans will be eager to watch him live for the first time at home.

Coach Mario Rivera does however has issues with his team with Kassim Aidara suspended for the game with 4 bookings and the unavailability of a foreign defender on the backline which has been ever so leaky since the start of the I-League.

Veteran defender Gurwinder Singh has been training with the squad for two weeks now and could even feature to contain the threat of the Churchill Brothers attack which includes Willis Plaza, who was initially doubtful for the game but has trained with the squad ahead of tomorrow’s clash.

Plaza has scored in all 3 meetings against his former club including the past minute winner in the first leg match at the Fatorda Stadium in January. The Goan team also boasts the likes of Dawda Ceesay, Khalif Alhasaan and Mapuia in the attack which will keep Mario Rivera worried about his inexperienced defence.

One good news for the East Bengal fans would be the coming in form of Spanish attacker Jaime Colado, who scored and played an instrumental role in both the victories. Juan Mera and Marcos de la Espada too will be looking forward to the game after having a good outing in the last match against TRAU FC with the latter bragging three assists to his name.

There is however still little controversy regarding Ansumana Kromah after his outburst in the media but Mario Rivera decided not to put much light on the incident and focus on the game against Churchill Brothers tomorrow as the Red and Gold brigade will suffice with nothing less than 3 points and move further up the table.
