Quess East Bengal FC will be looking to bounce back once again after a shocking defeat to Indian Arrows on Saturday, as they will face Aizawl FC at the Kalyani Stadium on Friday.

Let us see how the team can line up for the game:

Goalkeeper:

Mirshad started in back to back games and even though he failed to keep Vikram Pratap Singh’s powerful shot out as the team lost to that solitary goal, Mirshad’s overall performance was good and is likely to start under the crossbar once again against Aizawl FC!

Lalthuammawia Ralte who started in the first 7 matches as the custodian has also been show-caused by the team management for apparently misbehaviour in the hotel during the visit to Imphal!

Defence:

The fate of Spanish defender Marti Crespí hangs on the noose! The game against Aizawl FC would be his final chance as being rumoured after the club officials met with coach Mario Rivera yesterday in an extensive meeting.

Mehtab Singh is most likely to start alongside Crespí replacing Asheer Akhtar while Samad Ali Mallick might come back into the starting lineup after a hefty layoff period. Abhishek Ambekar too had a terrible outing against the Indian Arrows boys and could get replaced by Abhash Thapa, who is still awaiting his first start since joining in!

Midfield:

Kassim Aidara was given a rest against the Indian Arrows as Didika and Tondomba Naorem started as the central midfielders! Kassim is all likely to make his return against the physical Aizawl FC team with likes of Alfred Jaryan and Matias Veron in the midfield!

Juan Mera, Jaime Colado and Brandon is most likely to form the attacking trio completing a 5 man midfield! Jaime Colado too is under the scrutiny for his poor performance so far in the campaign and the game against Aizawl would be a big test for the Spaniard!

Forward:

Marcos de la Espada was sent off with double bookings against Indian Arrows so he will be unavailable for the game which means Liberian striker Ansumana Kromah is likely to get his first start of the campaign!

Kromah came in as substitutes in the two previous games and looked sharp! He missed an easy opportunity to equalise in the Indian Arrows game but his presence in the attack saw some good movements being created for the Red and Gold brigade. Him starting and the unavailability of Marcos might actually be a boon for the Quess East Bengal FC as they look to bounce back against Aizawl FC on Friday!

Formation: 4-2-3-1
