The East Bengal fans would surely want to obliviate the current season from their memories. The pathetic performance of the team along with innumerable controversies outside has been the story of the centenary season so far.
Adding to the already infested woes, midfielder Kassim Aidara now becomes doubtful with a groin injury ahead of the Indian Arrows game on Monday at the Cooperage Ground in Mumbai.
Aidara got injured against Aizawl FC but played through against Punjab FC but his injury has aggravated since and the French/Senegalese spent most of the training session yesterday on the sidelines, trying to recover under the guidance of physical trainer Carlos Nodar.
Kassim has travelled to Mumbai with the squad but fans would be keen to see if he makes the first eleven. The Cooperage Ground being an artificial turf surface will also make coach Mario Rivera think twice before starting Kassim Aidara as the injury could worsen while playing in the artificial turf.
