Hero Elite League: The Red and Gold colts march on with 4th consecutive victory!

The U18 boys are on a role in the Hero Elite League as they stacked up their fourth win in a row today as they defeated United SC by at the East Bengal Ground.

Coach Ranjan Choudhury’s boys got the best start possible with left winger Sagolsem Bikash Singh scoring in the first minute of the game to take the lead against the purple brigade who are on third place in the Kolkata Zonal Round League table.

The Red and Gold boys doubled their lead in the 41st minute as Manipuri forward Manichand Singh scored his 4th goal of the campaign and providing Ranjan Choudhury a sigh of relief as they teams went into halftime.

Both teams fought hard in the second half, with United SC trying to get back into the game and the Red and Gold brigade looking for options to increase their lead but the scoreline remained same as Quess East Bengal FC snatched up their 4th consecutive win in the campaign!

This win means the Red and Gold brigade has won 5 of the 6 matches so far and with 15 points they are level with League leaders ATK U18, although they have a game in hand. Two teams out of 8 from the Kolkata Zonal Group will qualify for the final round!

The Red and Gold colts will face Baranagar SC on 31st January at the East Bengal Ground in the next match in the Kolkata Zonal Round of the Hero Elite League.
