East Bengal wins final Pre-Season Friendly before the start of I-League

Quess East Bengal FC wraps up their Pre-Season in style as they defeated ISL side Jamshedpur FC 0-2 at the JFC Training Ground, Jamshedpur on Thursday evening in a highly contested friendly.

Both Jamshedpur FC and East Bengal fielded their full squad for the game which took place behind closed doors. It was 0-0 at Halftime, as both teams failed to create much chances. The Red and Gold brigade had an injury scare as Marcos was subbed off in the 42nd minute to be replaced by Ronaldo Oliveira.

In the second half, both team tried to break the deadlock and it was eventually the substitute Abhijit Sarkar of East Bengal FC who scored with his very first touch in the 74th minute to put the visitors ahead. East Bengal increased the margin in the 87th minute when Abhijit again put in an excellent ball from the right wing for Jaime Santos Colado who made no mistake to head the ball in to make it 2-0 against a formidable Jamshedpur FC side.
