East Bengal FC start trials for “Reserve” team for next season!

The centenary season has been a one to forget for all the Red and Gold faithfuls but the season could end on a happy note for the fans as they expect the announcement from the officials of joining the ISL next season.
The club Officials have been saying for the last two months that East Bengal FC will be playing in the ISL definitely but still the fans are awaiting official confirmation. The club has now moved a few steps ahead and started conducting trials for the “Reserve Team” which will be playing alongside the senior main team if they play in the ISL.
Former stars like Bhaichung Bhutia, Alvito D’Cunha, Sashti Duley, Chandan Das, Falguni Dutta etc have been appointed by the club as scouts for the team building. Coach Ranjan Chowdhury who is the head of the U18 and youth development have started taking the trails for the reserve team which will go on till 23rd of March as Alvito informed. Bhaichung Bhutia sent two players from United Sikkim FC – Sonam Zangpo and Karan Rai who were both present on trials on Monday.
The club sources have informed that the reserve team will be a bridge from the U18 to the senior side and they will be playing in the I-League 2nd Division, like all other reserve teams of different clubs from the next season.
