East Bengal FC team management has been unstoppable since the last month in the transfer market as they have already roped in more than 20 new names for the upcoming season. The team management is hoping to participate in the Indian Super League and are determined to build a good squad accordingly.
As we had previously reported about the club having held talks with the Indian national team defender Anas Edathodika, we have received further updates about the possible big signing.
Anas Edathodika wants to leave ATK FC as he wants more game time under his belt. ATK FC is already cramped with too many names and Anas Edathodika’s agent has already contacted a few clubs which includes East Bengal FC as well.
As per sources, there are offers from two more clubs (unknown) as well apart from East Bengal FC. However, after initial talks, the player has no issues with the offer from East Bengal FC. The catch however remains that the player wants to play only in the Indian Super League and has informed the same to East Bengal FC. It is speculated that the club has to first announce the participation in the ISL, before confirming the player’s services.
It is now a waiting game for both the parties, as well as the fans who would be eager to see the National team defender don the Red and Gold kit for the upcoming season.
