The battle amongst the Indian clubs to get the signing of the most talked about young name of Indian football seems to have concluded and as per sources the Indian Super League side, Mumbai City FC have won the race to secure the signing of India’s next big thing – Vikram Pratap Singh, fighting off the interests from Kerala Blasters and East Bengal FC.
East Bengal FC management were on a bidding war with Kerala Blasters FC to get hold of the Indian Arrows teenager who had a breakthrough season in the 2019/20 I-League scoring 4 goals and leading the young side to victories against East Bengal FC and Churchill Brothers.
However as reported, it is the City Football Group owned Mumbai City FC who have secured the signing of the talented boy from Punjab, who grew up through the ranks of Minerva Punjab academy and then excelled in the Indian Arrows setup, and he is just 18.
There are two more Indian Arrows footballers who are linked with East Bengal FC for a long time – Ricky Shabong and Harmanpreet Singh, however the deal is not yet made official by the club management.
