Jaime Colado against Punjab : What really happened?
Jaime Santos Colado has been suspended by the AIFF Disciplinary Committee interimly and is subjected to appear before the committee on 20th December. Jaime Santos is all set to miss the home game against TRAU FC.
What exactly happened ?
The game against Punjab FC was a frustrating one for the Red and Gold brigade. They conceded very early in the game and chased the game throughout only to grab the equaliser in the 85th minute as Juan Mera scored from the top of the box.
The game was physical and a lot of times the ball went out of play. Adding to the frustration of East Bengal, the ball boys present at the Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana did not adhere to the calls of East Bengal players to supply the balls back faster. We could see in the replays a many times Samad Ali Mallick or Abhishek Ambekar asking profoundly to the ball boys to supply the balls back to the faster, went out of bounds.
The frustration pilled up and Jaime Santos Colado reportedly misbehaved with the ball boys and apperantly also kicked the ball at full force at two of the ball boys, as reported by the match commissioner Mr. Indranil Das on his report to the AIFF Disciplinary Committee.
What lies ahead?
The committee has asked Jaime Santos Colado to show cause for his behaviour by 13th December and the issue will be heard at the Disciplinary Committee meeting on 20th.
There is a high possibility Jaime Santos Colado might also miss the Derby on 22nd December if further punishment is enforced by AIFF.
This is also not the first time Jaime Santos Colado came under limelight because of his anger management issues. He was suspended for a game in the Calcutta Football League too earlier this season after kicking an opponent player.
