FPAI urges AIFF and FSDL to include East Bengal in the ISL!

Published by Sabyasachi C on

East Bengal FC management has been vocal about their interests of participating in the Indian Super League from this season however due to the COVID-19 situation, the club is yet to finalize their investors and the time is surely running out for the club to make an entry into the ISL this season.

To help the club, the Football players association has formally mailed the AIFF and FSDL, requesting them to include East Bengal FC in the ISL without any hesitation and delay, keeping in mind of the glorious history and reputation of the club in Indian football.

The mail goes as follow:

The General Secretary
All India Football Federation
New Delhi

Dear Sir,

Kindly go through the letter, contents of which are self explanatory.

We request your kind consideration of the same. Please give the matter
some importance as it involves one of the Top Indian Football Clubs and
a top crowd puller too.

We have also kept FSDL on mail, for their necessary support and views in
this matter.

While we understand that this is not a subject in our jurisdiction, we
have sent the appeal anyways as we consider ourselves a stake holder in
Indian Football, even though many would not like to hear the same.

We shall be grateful, if we receive a reply.

Kind regards,
Cyrus Confectioner,
General Manager
Football Players Association of India.
