East Bengal ropes in Siam Hanghal on loan from Delhi Dynamos
If rumours are true, East Bengal are set to rope in the Delhi Dynamos FC midfielder Siam Hanghal on loan for the rest of the season.
Siam Hanghal is a typical central midfielder who started of his career from Bengaluru FC in 2013-14, forming an integral partnership with John Menyongar in their maiden I-League campaign, becoming chamoions at the end. Hanghal has been quite a veteran in the ISL with stints with North East United, Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blaster before joining Delhi Dynamos this season, however he has fallen in pecking order in the Delhi team and didn’t feature in a single game this season in the ISL.
East Bengal have had their miseries in the midfield with injury concerns for Mahmoud Amna and Kamalpreet Singh made to play as a makeshift CM who is a right back by trade. Coach Alejandro will be looking for options in the midfield and Siam Hanghal will bring in experience to the side.
Siam Hanghal has appeared in 30 ISL matches spanning 4 seasons. A boyhood Steven Gerrard fan himself, he too plays at the similar position and tries to imitate his idol.
